A Painting, A Story
It was about expressing what I felt at some point in my life, with a strong influence of German Expressionism. A contrasting use of colors, almost violent to the eye, or peaceful and calm, depending on whatever influence I had at the time.
I found the way to move phenomena from a bidimensional plane to a different technical field on the canvas. The color becomes a means for all these movements to fit into forms that are at times organic and at times more rational.
I started to experiment with different construction materials, textiles, primary colors from their mineral base, metals and other kinds of materials that could produce physical tension in any aspect of my work, but that would play with the overall aesthetics of the resulting element. This allowed me to create not only visually but also physically tridimensional pieces. This is art that can be touched, felt, that conveys roughness, softness, calm… all through the materials.
A tribute to the Gay community; the community that historically has fought against the contempt of society, without ever having renounced to its essence and fought throughout the years against society’s historical norms
A vortex is an energy spiral of powerful intensity, attracting and drawing in everything in its environment.  Life has moments of transformation, when energy attracts every single element, forcing transition and great change.  The result is passion, inspiration, expression and renewed hope.
